Fantasy Football – Week 4 Black & Blue Matchups
Colton Linnertz - Black & Blue Football - @BlacknBlueFB
Start ‘em: Blue Matchups
Denver Broncos - Just start all of them. Peyton Manning will throw all over this bad Oakland D. Making WRs, Decker & Thomas must starts as well. I would even start the Kicker Matt Prator and the Denver D.
Green Bay Packers - Also a great matchup for the Packers here. The Saints D is one of the worst in the league and GB just might be a bit upset after the refs took the game away from them in Seattle. Look for Rodgers to have a huge bounce back game.
K Matt Bryant - Last week the Panthers D let the Giants move down the field at will. Look for Bryant to be kicking field goals and extra points all day in the Georgia Dome.
TE Martellus Bennett - Hakeem Nicks if doubtful to play, so Bennett will see targets. He is a huge problem for the Eagles LBs, who don’t cover TEs well.
QB Christian Ponder - The Lions defense gave up all kinds of yardage to Jake Locker. Ponder is playing very well right now & WR Jerome Simpson returns from suspension.
WR Jeremy Maclin - Sounds like he is healthy and he should have a big game versus a bad Giants secondary, that is if Vick has time to throw.
Sit ‘em: Black Matchups
WR Brandon Marshall - The Dallas secondary is much improved from last year. In fact, Brandon Carr is one of the best CBs in football right now. He shut down Vincent Jackson last week, holding him to 1 catch. Sit Marshall for a better option if you have one.
RB DeMarco Murray - The Dallas offensive line is a mess and the Bears have a stout D. Look for this to be a defensive battle Monday Night. Go with a better option if possible.
WR Dez Bryant - Tim Jennings will be all over him. Romo seems to target Witten & Austin much more frequently and doesn’t look Bryant’s way unless he is wide open. Add in the fact the O-line is giving Romo time to throw and you just can’t trust Bryant at this point.
WR Larry Fitzgerald - I know it’s difficult to sit a stud player, but in my opinion he isn’t a stud fantasy option anymore. Teams look to take him out of the game and make everyone else beat them. Sean Smith is one of the best CBs in football and will be sticking to Fitz like glue. Larry has always had issues getting versus the top CBs
Note: Now that the real officials are back, look for your QBs & WRs to have an increase in yardage. The replacements were not calling illegal contact down the field, the real refs will and this should lead to WRs getting open much more frequently. Both Flacco & Weeden threw for more than 300 yds in the rain.
BYE Week: Steelers & Colts
