San Francisco Giants (AWAY) (CAIN) (-145) OVER San Diego Padres (HOME) (MARQUIS)

The Giants have won 14 of 19 against the Padres. Perhaps none will be easier than their 15th tonight. Surprisingly, Matt Cain has not won any of those 14 games. Despite his 2.81 ERA in 13 career starts at San Diego, his teammates often fail to get him run support. All that will change tonight. The fact that another team decided to give Jason Marquis a shot after getting consistently crushed at pitcher friendly Target Field in Minnesota this season is astonishing. Marquis has a 8.47 ERA in 7 starts so far this season. Perhaps switching leagues will do him some good, but he has not shown any flashes of being a major league quality starting pitcher this season. Take the Giants.
