3 More NCAA Tournament 3rd Round Locks

BY: NEIL BRASLOW

2012 NCAA TOURNAMENT RECORD : 6-3

East Region: FLORIDA STATE (3) OVER CINCINNATI (6) – The Seminoles looked shaky against St. Bonaventure on Friday. Often teams have to survive a nail biter before making a run in the tournament. Expect FSU to come out shooting well today. Cincy is arguably as hot as FSU coming into the game, but FSU has the edge in experience and talent. Go with Florida State.

Midwest Region: SOUTH FLORIDA (12) OVER OHIO (13) – South Florida is still being overlooked. Ohio is a talented team but Michigan was really the first quality win they have had all year. Similar to Murray State yesterday, without Ohio having a marquee victory on their resume, it is hard to pick against a USF team that continues to prove doubters wrong. Go with the Bulls.

South Region: XAVIER (10) OVER LEHIGH (15) – Lehigh is a nice story, but Duke was a vulnerable team coming into the tournament. Xavier is a veteran team with Tu Holloway, Mark Lyons, and Kenny Frease. Expect their veteran leadership and talent to be too much for Lehigh to handle. Their Cinderella story comes to an end today. Go with the Musketeers.
